Overview
The Artist Mentorship Programme is a focused process for examining how an artistic practice develops, changes and takes shape over time.
We look closely at how an artist observes, how ideas emerge, how materials function, how different bodies of work relate to one another, and how the practice is articulated within its wider context.
Across four tailored sessions, the work may involve critical reflection, practice mapping, research, material enquiry, conceptual development, narrative or professional positioning. The emphasis is determined by the practice itself.
The central question is: What does this practice need to develop further? The outcome may be a clearer conceptual framework, a stronger relationship between existing bodies of work, a shift in methodology, or a more considered direction for future development.
The programme is a curatorial and strategic process centred on the practice, its structures and its context.
The objective is not to help an artist find a signature style. It is to help them develop a methodology capable of generating one over time.
What This Mentorship Offers
Practice
The relationships between bodies of work, mediums, ideas and methods.
Enquiry
The questions beneath the subject matter and how they can develop through research, observation or experimentation.
Concept
Recurring ideas, conceptual structures and the relationship between thought, material and making.
Narrative
Artist statements, biographies, series texts, curatorial notes and other forms of articulation.
Context
How the practice operates within curatorial, institutional, gallery, collector and cultural contexts.
Direction
The questions, projects and possibilities that may shape the next stage of the practice.

Programme Information
Format: One-to-one
Sessions: 4
Duration: Approximately 30 days
Session length: Minimum 60 minutes
Location: Online, worldwide
Application & Selection: The programme is selective, and not all applications are accepted. Artists must submit their existing practice materials and portfolio for review. Each application is assessed individually to determine whether the programme is appropriate for the artist's current practice and stage of development.
Fee:
INR 28,000 | EUR 300 | AED 1200
Some practices require further observation after the initial programme. Artists may return for a focused studio review when a new body of work, exhibition, research direction or significant shift in practice requires critical discussion.
These are independent engagements rather than a continuation of the four-session programme.
